Beers
The Lion is a freehouse and prides itself on providing quality local real ales, along with guest beers.
The Carlisle State bitter, brewed by The Derwent Brewery in Silloth, is a regular at The Lion, and is very popular with the locals. The Carlisle State was originally brewed by The Carlisle State Management Brewery, and has been brought back to life by The Derwent Brewery.
Jennings Bitter, brewed by Jennings Brewery in Cockermouth, is also a regular at The Lion.
